Is it better to imagine without reaching it 

Is it better to never try without reaching it 

A constant battle of inner dialogue 

While it happens

Spinning world with multiplicity of expectations

Where did these come from 

Planted by a trip before this one 

Taking the journey through the plains 

Spikes along the side 

And you will jump in 

Knowing truth before it captures you 

Odd how you sense detachment strengthening  

While still attaching to this idea

For it to smack you back to what you already knew

Choosing to look further anyway 

Other humans with their own path of thorns

Choices made impacting choices made 

Deliberating a chorus without significance 

Souls seem to have a different interpretation 

What’s to honor 

Wishing the want of things to go away 

As if to want meant what is unacceptable 

Which came from where 

Along the way it was planted deep 

To fuel the voice 

Letting more in to filter through this meaning 

Fictional yet as real as an arm 

Wait while not waiting difficult to master 

Split reality as is everything 

This one thing lights the entire fire 

A boat alone in the sea is not a boat

Needs a mirror to define itself 

If we must define 

Or not if its to float freely until it finds the rightful dock

Seeing the flying shapes in a piercing light

Look around every way the eye reveals 

On first glance the instinct to trust 

A life full of recipes to cypher the answer 

Circling back to the initial body sensation 

When the mind connects all the electricity 

In stillness all is clear 

Even if its not the answer wanting to be real 

Then comes the reframing 

An addition to set a new line 

Capturing all left after the destructing dance 

Fragment chips translucently appearing 

Hovering above the collective 

Rapids will drown you 

Tighten the harness around soul 

Lengthen the rope to a rock 

Send wishes to your keepers 

Jump as wide as you exist 

Back into the war of discovering how to imagine 

Again and again and again
