I am happy 

At first a hesitation 

Maybe to check in 

Surprised and not surprised 

In a sense 

A light refusing to diminish 

Watching you 

No denying it 

Or how it makes you 

In the moment 

Believe in the moment 

Looking back has closed 

Eclipse 

Then a full moon to wash it away 

I was sitting on a stoop 

Without limitations 

Rituals ignited

Believing 

Without expectations 

I have a note that reads

I am happy 

Connecting only whats today 

With aging arms still able 

To hold up this body 

And a wandering mind still willing 

To imagine in all the pockets

Across all the places

To live one life after another 

In seconds 

We get to be it all at once 

Outside the everyday games 

Play that too

But play it with kindness

And play it with a bold mind 

Run with the wolves as you sit earning 

Be in love with love as you watch trees alone 

Listen to the birds chatter 

Telling you to wake up 

Hike that hill and feel your knees still able to

Then believe you have wings 

And tell them a story 

And create a fantasy

I live in two homes

One is seen 

The other is not 

In the middle is a magic 

Unfolding infinitely in both pockets
