Mark A Spot Then Jump

Getting closer to this new place

I remember finding the land

Using my hands to find where I would build

How the path would start

Making its ways to a light

Tucked inside

Bright once I get there

Some days I’m at the door

Some days I’m inside sipping coffee

Other days I’m looking at the land

Where it will begin

Even though it has begun

I see behind it because I move my body to look

And there I see my body in a hover

I see it doing things in the sun

By the water

Then I see it walking on the land

No one is around

It’s my own place to find and get lost in

There is all the dreams

Written in permanence

As it fades in the old caves

Though honored on my skin

To not forget I live in the dark still

Seen that home enough

Before I left after watching it burn

Inviting the new guides in

Find this new place

Setting the markers clearly

As my arms move up and down

In and around

My body an anchor to ground

I will always be a red balloon floating around it all

Even as I wilt in gray

Pointing to the destinations

A spear cutting the air

A fin cutting the waters

A mind open like the sea

I reflect still

Welcome in

Welcome home

I’ll circle back again

Before I

GO
