Pennies

I found a corner

And placed a penny

Either side works

Next to the penny I wrote a letter

And next to the letter I left a necklace

I sat there for awhile

Speaking into the night

Writing on the walls in a fun chalk

Revealing my truth

Writing secrets on the wall

Keeping it right

Letting it be

I fell asleep for awhile

Dreaming

Under the ideas

Under the possibility

Under

Letting go in the wavy wonder

Waking you realize the reality

The thin truth of what ends up to be

Poor pawn on a chess board

If not for the one eye that never closes

Never tended to the plan well

Birds say too much too often

And you can’t deny a bird

Or its whispers

The first hit in your interior

Hidden child

Alive voice like an organic GPS

I was in a spot some time ago

Ignoring the signs

Shuttered lights not let in

This is no longer that building

All is heightened and all is not simple

Listening in through the code they wrote

Seeing between the lines

Vibrating triangles made of hands

Truth at the stables being brushed out

Sweep the streets

All the souls in the world

All the time left

Keep it basic as it calls for basic

Pick up the penny

Put on your necklace

Turn the letters into symbols and draw a line

After you wash away the words on the wall

Out

Out of the corner

Out of the gestures

Out of the contexts that build on a feeling

Be a normal bird with normal birds

Be an everyday something or other

Put on your straightjacket and sit down

In their long lines

With their popular motives

On a radio playing the hits

Heard them a million times

I sing them in the shower

After a long summers day

There’s a window in every corner

And a corner in every place

And a place for this

And a this for that

And

A penny is worth one cent

In a world with no colors
