Slivers Of Time In The Lovely Hours

If there is an algorithm we live in

Its imperfect

And can be interrupted

Slivers of time

When the robots put their codes down

And all is frozen but the ones who jump in

Power goes out

All sounds are present

In the lovely hours

Natural the way its intended

When a hand is in a hand

And feet wrap around each other

You see clearly the shapes fitting

A design to compliment another design

An instinct to produce more

An instinct to protect it

Pure humans

We forget about all the other things

All the vices we’ve addicted ourselves to

Clocks that replaced our heartbeats

When we can disarm with our fear set aside

For just a moment

Running through the thorns

Within the dark

One line of light

To each other

Meeting ourselves there to check in

Before you leap out the door

Leaving it behind

And on the way down its worth it

If you’re always going up

And up and up

Looking as far as looking was possible

Flying in the chance

With each sliver of time

Skin marries skin

Eyes marry eyes

Lips marry lips

In another place where they are forever

All is forgotten

Found a freedom in the arms

Under the water

Silent words

Tucked deep within

Simple things really

Yet somehow impossible to say

Somehow impossible

Hearts that live with fear

Yet a heart all the same

Beating

And holding space

Healing

And finding the ways

For all is not lost if offered

Outside the program

Outside with arms wide open

Wander home

Strangers in the dark

Strangers in the arms

Slivers of time in the lovely hours
