Lay Down Their Laws

Spent time wasting if it means something to someone else

False codes created out of a very thin air

As the keepers of them follow other shit behind the scenes

Doing right in a relative way

Circles drawing their own lines

In the end you’ll save water for yours and yours alone

As learning the patterns and rhythms of words

They speak

Too often from a crevice on both sides

We can’t own people

Even if they were with us at a time

You’re not mine to choose

I am not yours to carve paths for

Codes are for the weak when created

Contracts designed by the collective out of civility

When in truth its fear

Codependence past its threshold

I’m too old for false codes

And too young to be controlled by them

What voice has said what words to believe in wrongdoing

This life is not limited

Only time

Choose wisely in wise intention

Not for them and their codes

Which is the mechanisms they use to cast you

Away in the judgments

Maybe lessons aren’t learned from

Just reframed to be more accepting

The true nature living in the shadow

Arriving at the door with the similar color

As once before

Before I entered into all the judgments

Well past their codes of conduct

Well beyond what’s ok in this ok world

If you knew all of me you’d have to design new codes

Locking your doors and your minds

Will any of it matter that you lived with their integrity

As long as you honor your soul as it guides you

Well past their assumptions

Well past the picket fences

And on through the practical architectures

Believing in the final midnights

In a dark blue one piece

With horns on your forehead

Pink eyebrows

And a hammer for nails

My watchers watch over me

And I watch over them in the daylight

Gold wings with dangling clocks

Beyond the visions

Above your lines

Your Thoughts
