Love & Time

In silence I see the angles

Feeling what is there

Even whats not

As this rolls and hits missing sometimes

I wonder if theres more

Waiting as I work at not

Sitting in the reflections

Imagining a greater love

Praying even

To the unknown

Birds outside the window

City sounds I’ve forgotten are there

So many years now

More and more I see time

Wood that aged under my feet

The colors that change the wall

Shelves with added books

Tokens from friends that I had not allowed before

Not much changes inside

Wanting the same things

Since the younger days

Bonds of acceptance

Peace inside love

To understand the turns of life

I see the lessons deeper now

Repeating slightly

Taking less time

Learning through it

I wait while not waiting

Moody and alive

Closed at times

Less energy now

Less of everything now

This great life

  1. I read this poem every so often! See my life, and vaguely, yours too.

    1. Thanks for sharing with me Arbo. I went back and read it again, it almost plays for me like seeing the future, yet, that future isn’t happening some other time, almost as if from the beginning of our time, we can sense the levels in this piece. I’m glad Poetry can bring moments like this one, and I am grateful to be a vehicle for the work that shows up. Love you
