HOPEFULLY THEY WILL PUT THIS SONG BACK UP, FOR SOME REASON THEY PULLED IT OFF SOUNDCLOUD. TOO BAD, I LIKED IT. MAYBE IT WASN’T BENT ENOUGH?
Here’s a cute little number for your Sunday morning. It’s a foggy one where I live, and the coffee is super hot. I came across “Hid” and thought it fit nicely with how the rest of the day is appearing in front of me. Just another simple Sunday with all the plants hanging now for us, and people in our neighborhood fine tuning their yards, well when they wake up. So far its just me and the birds. And a few church goers heading to their early service. Cheers to all of that!
Out of London, Bentcousin has a range of tunes on the rest of their Soundcloud page. “Hid” is a standout because its simplistic, and the story it tells leaves you without confusion. There’s a love story here, one that happens really fast. They describe the first few day that transpire when you meet someone of interest, but the reason I like the lyrics is b/c It develops this movie in my mind. When it ends I’m still seeing the people maybe linking back up, or starting a life. This was me when I met Holly, although a little different. She came over one night, and never went home. Now we share everything, and the awkwardness has not been around for some time. Love is never easy, and always elusive, but worth every piece of emotion it gives you, b/c wonderful things can blossom out of the happiest and saddest of times. That’s what I took away from posting about this song.
