Insightful Drops Elsewhere

Insightful

Deep grooves, the glitch pop supreme. Insightful out of Oakland has crossed heady rhythms with laid back jazz samples. Some perfection with these sounds, savvy clip placement with all that swing. Stand outs on the album find Insightful meshing the experimental together with some 70(ish) synth acid here or there. The opening track “Tree Level” is ridiculous. Of course the abilities don’t stop on production, Insightful just had to sing. I’m hooked friends, Elsewhere is available now.

Watch the video below for the fresh, drone-esque-chiller “Hindsight,” a true piece of Art that relays the personal angst of wanting to look like someone else, that mission brings forth a bond between two physically defective people. Truly a bitter-sweet video, that masterfully sits with the piece of sound, and how society can pressurize the human spirit into yearning to be perfect, especially if the scars are visible.

Sadsic On Collective Resonance

Sadsic

New Jersey based band Sadsic, released their new LP in October of this year. Put out by the expansive Collective Resonance. Listening through the album this morning, mad gigawatts poplin in/out jive, no doubt an electronic sampled feast to get into. “Solo On The Rocks” rips this supreme hip/hop back drop, hits the tones just right. The self-titled effort has a long track list with shorter tunes. Another really interesting, pleasing, very experimental number is “Maniac Memories,” takes you in and out, then roles right into “Nam’ 13” a continuation, which happens throughout the album. A Quality experience if you listen to it all straight through. Sadsic creates this ultimate cadence with plenty of blips, boom, and more blips to make the transitions filled with heat. Another smooth one is the atmospheric tides on “Night Fathoms.” Panned essence stuttering, shifting across the spectrum, held down by cool beats. The whole record is filled with all the goodies you can handle. Thank Bandcamp for the find, found it on the home page, the cover calls the eye.

Collective Resonance has a grip of other releases, a very busy, and worthy exploration to be had.

Pick Of The Week: Glass Therapy

Glass Therapy

Cadence Collective known for bringing the fold into bright lights with stunning sounds from Artists all over the globe. Glass Therapy dropped me a line to let me know about the new sampler they put out, which also contains his contribution of the song “All Smiles.” A glitchy dance number with a little beep bleep to get us quirking about. The track comes off really smooth, ocean views, nice guitar. Then vocals break through, and the dance begins. A very impressive tune, which leads me to the new album Glass Therapy released on bandcamp also called All Smiles. I’m still listening to it, getting a feel for it, but it has some dope work to get into for sure. The track “Trace Elements” beams the electronica in full bloom, rolling a deep dark aesthetic into a colorful mold that rolls along the ridge lines. Get the album for a “you call it” on bandcamp. Very cool things here.
