Nomadic Firs Announces Outside in Your Head (B Sides, Edits, and Dreams), A Decade of Unreleased Music
30 tracks spanning 2015–2025 arrive October 23, 2026, marking the close of a chapter in the project’s recording history.
After a decade of recording, experimenting, revisiting ideas, and collecting sounds, Nomadic Firs will release Outside in Your Head (B Sides, Edits, and Dreams) on October 23, 2026. The 30-track collection brings together previously unreleased material created between 2015 and 2025, offering a glimpse into a decade of creative exploration.
The collection is a document of the process itself: the experiments, alternate versions, unfinished ideas, and unexpected discoveries that accumulate along the way. Rather than presenting a single moment or a tightly defined era, Outside in Your Head gathers fragments of a much longer creative journey.
“I work at this. It’s complicated and beautiful,” says Ryan Boos, the artist behind Nomadic Firs. “ There’s a lot here, there’s a lot of other people here with me in spirit as inspiration and moving through what we can’t control. It was a wild ride, and I’m grateful to be done with this era of recording and producing and moving to the new work.”
For Boos, the release represents more than an archival collection. It’s an opportunity to bring a decade of work into the world, make peace with what came before, and create space for whatever comes next. These recordings carry the experiences of the years in which they were made, preserving the evolution of a practice that rarely followed a straight line.
With Outside in Your Head (B Sides, Edits, and Dreams), Nomadic Firs closes a chapter without dismissing it. The work remains complicated, imperfect, and beautiful—a collection of sounds and experiences that finally gets to find its way into the world.
Outside in Your Head (B Sides, Edits, and Dreams) will be available everywhere on October 23, 2026.
